Orange Countiana Returns!
Call for Papers

This fall the Orange County Historical Society will re-launch the Orange Countiana, an historical journal the Society previously provided with the first issue in 1931. In 1973 Orange Countiana was printed as an occasional journal. This new OCHS publication will be printed annually and feature stories and reminiscences of Orange County from bygone days.

Articles have already been received for this year’s issue of Orange Countiana, the OCHS’ historical journal, but we can still use more. Editor Phil Brigandi is seeking articles of up to 5,000 words about any aspect of the history of Orange County, its communities, and its people. Articles should be written with a general audience in mind. Footnotes and bibliographies are welcome, but not required. Illustrated articles are always preferred.

To submit your article for consideration or for more information, please contact Mr. Brigandi at ockid@netzero.com or (714) 731-2988. Articles must be received no later than June 2010 in order for the publication to be ready this fall.

A subscription to Orange Countiana will be included with all regular memberships in the Orange County Historical Society. Additional copies will be available for purchase. Check the Courier for updates as the Orange Countiana progresses toward publication.
