Programs

Ten general meetings are held each year. Programs are wide-ranging and offer something to everyone interested in history. Each September a potluck dessert is held at Sherman Library and Gardens in Corona del Mar, a special opportunity to socialize with other members of the society.

General membership meetings are held at 7:30 P.M. on the second Thursday of each month, except July and August. Ordinarily we meet at the Kidseum, part of Bowers Museum of Cultural Arts, in Santa Ana, in a separate building (See map for location) Guests are welcome. Program and other information is published preceding each meeting in the County Courier, the official newsletter of the society. The Orange County Historical Society has been preserving history for the past eighty years.

Tours are sponsored by the Society to historical sites and museums in Orange County and the surrounding counties. These tours are always open to the public as are all functions of the Society. Various symposia and workshops are sponsored throughout the year as the need and opportunity arises.
