Please Note: The regular duties of the volunteer staff do not permit them to conduct research projects for individuals. They can provide basic collections information, such as whether we have a certain file or book, but they are not authorized to produce specific historical or genealogical research work product.

NOT AVAILABLE AS OF TODAY—As an aid to parties needing such services, the Society will attempt to maintain a current listing of persons in the area doing for-fee research work.

We appreciate your interests in the resources of the Society and endeavor to provide quick answer reference for specific questions at no charge. However, limited staffing resources prevent us from undertaking detailed work for you.
Our collections include books, records, photographs, and maps relating to Orange County and are listed in our database.

You are invited to visit our facility and take advantage of these resources. Our library and archives are open to the public by appointment only.
We can undertake a limited fee based search for you off site (via telephone, email, or written request). For a prepaid, non-refundable $10.00 fee, volunteers will consult appropriate catalogs, directories, books and photographs on one topic. The fee provides as much as one hour of research time. Photocopies of relevant material will be charged at $.25/page. While this basic level search does not guarantee results, it does provide from afar access to obvious sources. We will advise you of sources consulted and results. Because of research backlogs, this process may take up to four weeks.
